Animated Palestinian Carpenter Planing Wood - 30 cm

This animated 30 cm resin scene depicts a Palestinian carpenter planing a piece of wood in his workshop. The model was created by local artist Michela Nibaldi exclusively for LCR Presepi by Messi Leandro, while the movement has been personally created by Messi Leandro. The coordinated electric mechanism moves the carpenter's body in a realistic planing motion: with both hands gripping the plane, he pushes it backwards and forwards across the wood while his upper body leans forwards and then rises again, faithfully recreating the natural movement of woodworking. The figure is dressed in traditional Palestinian clothing, consisting of a light grey long-sleeved tunic, a dark brown cloak draped over the shoulders and a grey wrapped head covering. He has a full dark beard and is focused on the piece of wood he is working. The workshop features a large wooden workbench scattered with wood shavings, traditional carpentry tools and rough timber, while a small workbench with drawers stands at the rear. A ground-effect base covered with soil and sawdust completes the scene with remarkable realism.
