Animated Traditional Corn Sheller - 30 cm Nativity Figure

This animated 30 cm resin scene depicts a traditional farmer shelling maize using an antique pedal-operated corn sheller. The model was created by local artist Michela Nibaldi exclusively for LCR Presepi by Messi Leandro, while the movement has been personally created by Messi Leandro. The farmer wears a large dark blue woven cloak, a tunic, blue-and-white striped trousers and leather sandals. His foot repeatedly presses the pedal, operating the shelling machine, while his arm moves up and down as if feeding the maize into the hopper. On the opposite side, the machine releases the processed kernels through a small wooden hatch, allowing them to fall into a partially filled jute sack below. The setting is enriched with several jute sacks, including one standing upright and tied with string and another lying on the ground, likely still filled with maize ears. A small wicker basket holds cleaned maize kernels ready for use. The rustic surroundings and earth-effect base faithfully recreate a traditional farming scene, making this piece ideal for Nativity displays and rural dioramas, where its realistic movement and finely crafted details celebrate the charm of historic agricultural traditions.
