Animated Palestinian Weaver at a Vertical Loom - 30 cm

This animated 30 cm resin scene depicts a Palestinian woman weaving at a large vertical wooden loom. The model was created by local artist Michela Nibaldi exclusively for LCR Presepi by Messi Leandro, while the movement has been personally created by Messi Leandro. The coordinated electric mechanism faithfully recreates the weaving process as the woman moves her upper body backwards and forwards while alternately pressing the loom's foot pedals. The figure is dressed in traditional Palestinian clothing made from real fabric, with a brown tunic, a light-coloured apron and a white head covering. The large vertical loom is handcrafted from natural wood and features woven fabric in progress, while folded pieces of cloth and the wooden and resin base with a realistic paved floor effect complete the traditional workshop setting.
