Animated Palestinian Fountain with Washerwoman and Child - 30 cm

This animated 30 cm resin scene depicts a traditional Palestinian village fountain, a place where the routines of everyday life come together through work and leisure. The model was created by local artist Michela Nibaldi exclusively for LCR Presepi by Messi Leandro, while the movement has been personally created by Messi Leandro. Built from realistic light-coloured stonework with finely crafted details, the fountain features two working water spouts that continuously feed the basin below, thanks to the integrated water pump, creating a remarkably lifelike effect. Beside the fountain, an elderly washerwoman dressed in traditional Palestinian clothing, consisting of a green tunic and a dark head covering, bends her torso forwards and backwards as she washes a striped cloth against the stone washboard, faithfully recreating the traditional hand-washing motion. On the opposite side of the fountain, a child wearing traditional Palestinian clothing, including a brown tunic and a grey head covering, sits on the edge of the basin, alternately swinging his feet back and forth as if playfully enjoying the cool water. Nearby, freshly washed garments are laid out to dry on the stone wall, while a wicker basket filled with laundry, a terracotta jug and other carefully crafted accessories enrich the scene with authentic everyday details. The stone-effect base completes the composition, faithfully recreating the atmosphere of a traditional Palestinian village.
