This animated 30 cm resin scene depicts a woman ironing with a traditional charcoal iron. The model was created by local artist Michela Nibaldi exclusively for LCR Presepi by Messi Leandro, while the movement has been personally created by Messi Leandro. Dressed in a dark blue dress decorated with small floral patterns, a light grey apron and a light blue shawl draped over her shoulders, the woman performs realistic, fluid ironing movements. Her torso rotates naturally from right to left, adding a lifelike sense of motion to the scene. With one hand, she raises and lowers a black-and-white striped piece of fabric, adjusting it on the table to make ironing easier. With the other, she skilfully guides the charcoal iron from right to left, smoothing every crease while her torso follows the movement, enhancing the realism of the action. The work surface is a sturdy table made of rough wood with a simple, traditional design. The setting is enriched with carefully crafted details, including a two-tone woven basket, a wicker basket filled with fabrics and tailoring tools, and a floor finished with imitation red brick paving, suggesting a domestic interior or a traditional workshop.
