Animated Palestinian Fishmonger Cleaning Fish - 30 cm

This animated 30 cm resin figure depicts a Palestinian fishmonger cleaning fish at his market stall. The model was created by local artist Michela Nibaldi exclusively for LCR Presepi by Messi Leandro, while the movement has been personally created by Messi Leandro. The coordinated electric mechanism moves the fishmonger's arm backwards and forwards, realistically recreating the action of cleaning and preparing the fish with a knife. The figure is dressed in traditional Palestinian clothing, consisting of a green tunic, a cloak draped over the shoulders and a traditional wrapped head covering. The wooden stall is richly detailed, featuring a hanging fishing net and carefully arranged silver-finished terracotta fish, some already marked by the knife while others remain whole. A terracotta plate on the lower shelf, a terracotta amphora and a faux stone-effect base complete the scene, faithfully recreating the atmosphere of a traditional fish market.
