The figure is dressed in real fabric clothing and wears genuine leather sandals. The action is brought to life through the coordinated movements of the figure: the sheller's foot repeatedly presses the pedal while the arm moves up and down, manually operating the mechanism. This system separates the kernels from the ears of corn, allowing them to fall from the front opening of the machine and gradually collect in the sacks placed beside it. Surrounding the scene are several jute sacks of different sizes, including one standing upright and tied with rope and another resting on the ground.
