The model was created by local artist Michela Nibaldi exclusively for LCR Presepi by Messi Leandro, with the movement mechanism handcrafted by Messi Leandro himself. The scene depicts an elderly farmer cultivating the soil with a long-handled hoe. He wears a robe in beige and grey tones, tied at the waist with a dark belt, along with a traditional Palestinian-style brown head covering with a light-colored band. The ground is enriched with small heads of lettuce and tufts of vegetation, completing the agricultural setting. The movement recreates the work carried out in the fields: both arms move rhythmically up and down, simulating the action of hoeing the soil. Ideal for enriching vegetable gardens, cultivated fields, and everyday life scenes within the Nativity.
