It is a handcrafted reproduction of a cured prosciutto with an exposed cut, complete with a hanging cord for displaying it within a Nativity scene. The surface is carefully modelled to recreate the irregular texture of aged meat, while the greyish-pink cut section resembles a freshly sliced piece. The outer layer features an ochre-yellow shade that realistically imitates the rind.
