This animated 30 cm resin scene depicts a traditional Palestinian potter shaping a clay vessel on his potter's wheel. The model was created by local artist Michela Nibaldi exclusively for LCR Presepi by Messi Leandro, while the movement has been personally created by Messi Leandro. Seated on a sturdy wooden crate, the craftsman rhythmically moves one foot up and down to operate the wheel's pedal while his hands work the clay in synchronised movements, gradually shaping the vessel. He wears a brown tunic beneath a sand-coloured cloak secured with a green belt and traditional Palestinian headwear with a green band, protecting him from the sun. Leather sandals complete his authentic traditional Palestinian clothing. His focused expression reflects the precision and dedication required to master this ancient craft. The rustic wooden workbench features a lower shelf displaying completed terracotta jugs and vessels, while the upper work surface holds the clay pot in progress alongside additional amphorae and traditional pottery tools. The stone-effect base recreates the atmosphere of a traditional artisan's workshop.
