Animated Palestinian Woman Carding Wool - 30 cm

This animated 30 cm resin scene depicts a Palestinian woman carding wool using a wooden carding machine. The model was created by local artist Michela Nibaldi exclusively for LCR Presepi by Messi Leandro, while the movement has been personally created by Messi Leandro. The coordinated electric mechanism faithfully recreates the carding process as the woman moves her upper body backwards and forwards while operating the wooden carding machine mounted on a trestle frame. The figure is dressed in traditional Palestinian clothing made from real fabric, consisting of layered olive green and moss green garments, a light-coloured apron and a white head covering. She is seated beside the wooden carding machine, while tufts of raw wool gathered between the frame and a small woven basket complete the traditional workshop setting. The wooden and resin base features a realistic stone-effect surface.
