This set of two miniature plaster barrels is designed in proportion to 6–12 cm Nativity figures. It is a high-quality handcrafted piece, made from natural materials and carefully finished down to the finest detail by a skilled artisan for LCR Presepi di Messi Leandro. The barrels have a slightly bulging cylindrical shape, with a wider centre and narrower ends, faithfully reproducing the appearance of traditional wooden barrels. Each barrel features two finely engraved reinforcing hoops around the upper and lower sections, recreating the metal bands that hold the wooden staves together. The surface is characterised by vertical grooves that imitate the grain and texture of real wooden staves, enhanced by a subtle glossy finish. The predominant dark brown colour is enriched with lighter shades that highlight the wood grain, while small imperfections, scratches and raised details add depth and authenticity.
